The annual awards banquet held Saturday, June 6, 2026, as a way to say thank you to the hundreds of outstanding high school athletes, coaches and fans who allow us to share their stories, performances and passions.Awards will be presented to the Outstanding Player of the Year in each sport, as well as Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the year and Coach of the Year.A special Courage award will be present to an individual or team who may have overcame a unique obstacle as well as a special sportsmanship and fan/booster of the year award will be presented.All nominate Best of Preps athletes will be invited to attend the event for free with two additional complimentary tickets for family.All nominated Best of Preps coaches will be invited to attend the event fro free with one addiional complimentary ticket.The event will be open for for additional family, friends and the public to purchase tickets to attend via eventbrite.Doors open for Lunch attendees (honorees and tickets purchased by family members only) at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be held in the Buena High School Cafeteria and provided by 143 Street Tacos.Doors open for the Klein Center for Performing Arts for General Public ticket holders at 12:30 p.m. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events3/banners/a035e7b0-fdc4-11f0-942f-d149ae617f16-rimg-w662-h740-dc9092a3-gmir.jpg GUEST SPEAKER | SHERYL SWOOPESSheryl Swoopes spent her storied college career at Texas Tech where she was aFirst Team All-America in 1992 and 1993 as well as being named the NaismithCollege Player of the Year and the WBCA Player of the Year her senior season.Swoopes still holds the school record for highest career scoring average andmost points in a season.
