Danny Michel

Danny Michel is a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer known for his thoughtful lyrics, warm melodies, and adventurous musical spirit. Blending folk, roots, pop, and world influences, his work feels both intimate and expansive, shaped by travel, curiosity, and collaboration. Born in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Michel has received multiple Juno and Polaris Prize nominations and won Canadian Folk Music Awards for Producer of the Year and Pushing the Boundaries. His projects have taken him from recording with The Garifuna Collective in Belize to making an album aboard an icebreaker in the Arctic with astronaut Chris Hadfield, and his songs explore themes of connection, nature, and the cosmos.
