Chef prepared meals are a top draw for prospective residents of The Oaks of Louisiana and their culinary talents have residents singing their praises after every clean plate. Guests are invited to a taste testing to see what all the fuss is about. On the menu: vegetable tamale, Southern style crab cake, sourdough focaccia with heirloom tomato, bulgogi beef on bao bun with lemongrass slaw and Shorty Leonard’s Black Forest cake. Cost: $5
