Stage Center (SC) & their School of Performing Arts (SoPA) proudly announce the next productions of their 14th Season, Mean Girls JR., the performance component of the first of our For Kids By Kids Summer Camp Adventures. This marks the third production of the SoPA season, which will open June 20, 2025 for a three-performance run at Marjorie Lyons Playhouse on the Centenary College Campus. Modeled after the Junior Theater Festival Experience, our FKBK Camps are designed to blend our skills-based and performance classes. Not only do students work on a JR. (1hr) or Kids (30min) length production (minus the technical elements) they also receive intensives in acting, singing, and dancing at camp. With only the tools of the actor (imagination, body, voice) our camp productions are performed in the great tradition of Shakespeare’s Old Globe, using nothing but a bare stage, simple lighting, and teamwork to effectively tell a great story. The production is directed by SoPA Director of Education, Liesl Cruz, with choreography by Nhan Ho, and musical direction by Rebecca Vacha.
