- **Event Description**: Shreveport Little Theatre is proud to present a staged reading of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, April 17–19, 2026, as a special fundraising event.
 
This heartfelt and humorous play is a collection of monologues and short vignettes that explore pivotal moments in women’s lives including first loves, heartbreak, motherhood, friendship, body image, marriage, loss, and resilience, all framed through the clothing worn during those moments. A pair of high heels, a wedding dress, a favorite sweater, a black funeral suit. Each garment becomes a doorway into a deeply human story. The result is a witty, warm, and poignant theatrical experience that celebrates both the humor and heartbreak that shape women’s journeys.
 
SLT is honored to feature a remarkable group of influential women from the Shreveport-Bossier community, including Sylvia Goodman, Judge Shonda Stone, Leigh Anne Chambers, Moriah Hicks, Mekisha Smith Creal,
Dr. Sharron Heron Williams, Susan Kirton, Sylvia Rachel, Sam Ortiz, and more, lending their voices to bring these stories to life.
 
For over a century, Shreveport Little Theatre has been a cornerstone of storytelling in Northwest Louisiana, and this event continues that legacy in a meaningful and impactful way. As a fundraiser, proceeds will directly support SLT’s mission to provide high-quality productions, arts education, and community engagement—entertaining, educating, and enriching audiences of all ages.
 
Presented in a reader’s theatre format, the evening embraces authenticity over polish, creating a supportive and intimate environment. At its heart, this production is about women sharing stories with and for one another, in service of both the arts and our community.
 
This special event is directed by Dr. Angelique Feaster Evans.
