Designed for nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers, the session breaks down fundraising into approachable steps—from identifying potential donors to crafting your message and selecting the right fundraising strategies for your organization’s size and stage of development.
Led by experts from the Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research, this workshop blends practical advice with real-life examples from Louisiana nonprofits.
Participants will learn how to:
Understand the core principles of nonprofit fundraising
Build a compelling case for support that inspires donors
Identify and engage individual donors, businesses, and foundations
Choose the right fundraising strategies (events, campaigns, grants, etc.)
Engage board members and volunteers in fundraising
Create a simple fundraising plan you can start using immediately
Who Should Attend:
Nonprofit executive directors, development staff, board members, new fundraisers, and anyone responsible for raising funds for a nonprofit organization.
Format: In-person, (Online for those outside of North Louisiana) 90-minute workshop with interactive exercises, real-world examples, and access to planning templates and fundraising resources.
