In 2024, Lisa faced a life-changing diagnosis of an aggressive form of cancer. Through faith, determination, and resilience, she turned her story into The Cookie That Built a Bakery, a heartfelt collection of recipes, memories, and encouragement. The cookbook includes many of the treasured cookie recipes that built her business, including select favorites once featured by Neiman Marcus, while sharing the powerful journey that inspired its creation.
