All supplies provided.About this EventIn this class, students will learn the basics of mending by hand, and specifically how to patch and fix holes by hand. The first hour will be a demonstration by the instructor, and the second hour will be time for you to work on your own mending with lots of guidance from the instructor, so be sure to bring something that needs a patch or has holes that need to be fixed.All supplies provided. Students are welcome to bring their own fabric scraps for patching.About the instructor, Sarah Jordan: Sarah has years of experience mending clothes via hand embroidery, using a machine to patch, light garment reconstruction such as reattaching belt loops and adding darts, fixing holes and tears, etc. She's also an experienced quilter. Sarah has a Bachelors degree in fine arts with a focus on fiber and material studies.This class is a part of our , which includes 12 classes and 1 event that hope to give you the opportunity to learn a variety of textile-based skills.
