You’ll create your own beautiful embossed ornaments for the garden which also humanely deter birds and other wildlife from fruit trees — while also learning techniques that can be applied to decorative objects and gifts.This session draws on traditions of tin-smithing and white smithing, with examples to see, of how sheet metal and wire have been used by rural and travelling communities across Europe and beyond to craft both practical and decorative items.Alongside making, there will be space for conversation, shared knowledge, and an appreciation of these enduring craft practices.No experience is needed. Materials and tools will be provided. Ticket price includes materials, tea and locally baked organic biscuits.Come and spend an evening making, learning, and connecting through traditional craft.
