Taking inspiration from Gaada’s 2022 publication Shetland Gay Bird Checklist, this in-person gathering of the Shetland Gay Bird Club invites queer people, friends and allies to spend an afternoon walking, sketching and birdwatching.

The event is open to anyone, with or without birdwatching or drawing experience, and is about making space for queer people to enjoy the natural world in relaxed, welcoming company!

At the end of the workshop Gaada will collect any drawings folk are happy to share to contribute to a community bird watching journal which will be sent to all participants.
