About the event

Reducing Stress with Meditation, Arts as Therapy and Colour Therapy
Join us for a relaxing evening of meditation, art therapy, and colour therapy to combat stress and find inner peace!

About this Event

As the winter season settles in, join us for a restorative session designed to help you recognise, release, and reframe stress before it turns into anxiety. In a warm and welcoming communal space, Rachel will guide you through gentle practices and creative expression to support your emotional wellbeing.

What You’ll Experience

Learn how to identify stress signals in the body and mind

Practice muscle relaxation and colour breathing to ease physical tension and restore calm.

Explore techniques to reframe negative thoughts and reset personal boundaries with compassion.

Discover grounding strategies to help you respond to emotional triggers with clarity and confidence.

Engage in art as therapy by creating your own stress management jar—a sensory toolkit filled with scent, collage, and handwritten affirmations to support you through challenging moments.

This session is a gentle invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling empowered, soothed, and ready to embrace the season with resilience.

About your Instructor

Rachel is an experienced mental health professional and registered social worker, as well as a certified mindfulness coach and instructor, a Reiki master and colour therapist with qualifications in delivering creative arts as therapy.

Since 2018, Rachel has been leading creative mindfulness retreats for MindAlive, where she has integrated meditation, colour therapy, arts and crafts, and even animal-assisted therapy into her work. Rachel is dedicated to making her retreats enjoyable and accessible to everyone—whether you are an experienced meditator or completely new to mindfulness. Her retreats are thoughtfully designed to welcome people of all backgrounds, including those with neurodiversity or challenges with attention and focus.

At a MindAlive retreat, there truly is something for everyone. Participants will benefit from Rachel’s expert guidance and over twenty years of experience in the mental health field, as well as the bonus of group Reiki healing to ensure the healing process goes further. Arrive feeling burdened, and leave feeling lighter, rejuvenated, and inspired with a renewed sense of optimism and purpose.
