Debby Sugarman and Shoshannah Crow will be leading a three day Forum Facilitation training over the weekend of Nov. 7-9, 2025.   Our venue is a beautiful working farm just southwest of Portland with much of our food sourced from the land!

This Forum facilitation training is open to Forum enthusiasts at all levels:

For those of you who are new to Forum facilitation, we will look at some of the fundamental skills of a Forum facilitator and ways that even a novice can bring elements of ZEGG Forum back to their community. 

For those of you with Forum facilitation experience, we will go in depth into the tools, principles, and practice of Forum facilitation including multiple opportunities to practice and receive tips and feedback. 

The training is intended for people who have experienced at least one ZEGG Forum.  If you have not experienced a Forum but you would still like to attend, please reach out to Debby at 716-479-1490 to see if this training is right for you.

WHEN:  
The training will begin Friday Nov 7 at 9am, and will complete around 5pm on Sunday, Nov 9.  You are invited to arrive early for an optional potluck and opportunity to start getting to know each other on Thursday evening, Nov 6.


WHERE:  
The training will take place at a private home and working farm about 50 minutes southwest of Portland, OR (address provided when you register).  This venue includes stairs to get between the training space and the eating area.  Please reach out to Debby if you are mobility-impaired and would like to talk about whether this venue will be accessible to you.


ACCOMMODATIONS:
Our venue is rustic but comfortable.  Accommodation options include:

Indoor shared spaces (bring your own sleeping pad and bedding).

Flat spaces for camping.

Flat spaces for car camping in cars and vans (there will not be room for large RV's).

Two private spaces- a yurt and a private guestroom- available for an additional fee of $125.

The nearest town is Sherwood, OR, in case you would prefer to find a hotel or airbnb nearby.


FOOD:
Five healthy meals are provided with your tuition fee:  Friday lunch, Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, and Sunday lunch.  We are excited that most of the ingredients will be sourced from the land and prepared by our venue host. 

Please bring what you need for breakfasts.  Some light snack food will be provided.  We encourage participants to bring snacks or breakfast foods to share.  PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN COOLER if you have foods that need to be kept cold.


COST:
We are asking a sliding scale fee from $450 - $600.  Your contributions above the minimum fee helps us to make this training available to those who may not be able to afford the full price.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Before October 24: 
Full refund minus any non-refundable payment processing fees (if applicable- usually 3% of your fee if you use paypal or venmo)

Oct 24- 30: 
Refund minus cancellation fee of $150 UNLESS WE CAN REPLACE YOU.  If we find someone to take your place, the cancellation fee will be $50 + any payment processing fees.

After Oct 30:
No refunds UNLESS WE CAN REPLACE YOU. If we find someone to take your place, the cancellation fee will be $50 + any payment processing fees.
