On May 16, the Sherman Cultural District joins with Friends of Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge for a spectacular day of bird-themed events, avian art, and activities in tribute to Sherman's unique bird connections.
The inaugural Sherman Bird Festival features:
• unveiling of five new public art sculptures
• juried art show
• Sherman Art Dash
• children’s activities
• nature talks and birding activities
• restaurant and shop specials all day, breakfast to late night
Plus, the Hagerman Bird Festival at the Refuge includes bird walks, art activities, and much more! This unique multi-site festival day is spread throughout the Downtown Sherman Cultural District and at Hagerman – combining art and nature for a grand celebration of the beauty and ecological significance of birds of North Texas.
Activities are free and open to the public, except the ticketed Art Dash event with tickets on sale starting April 1.
