Arbor Day Festival – Celebrate Native Trees!
📅 Date: Nov. 8
📍 Location: Fairview Park Field 5
⏰ Time: 10AM-12PM
Let’s celebrate the trees that make Texas beautiful! 🍂 In honor of Texas Arbor Day, Sherman Parks & Recreation is teaming up with local experts to host a free, family-friendly festival full of learning, exploration, and fun.
At Arbor Day Festival, you’ll:
🌱 Learn tree care tips and eco-friendly practices
🌱 Discover biodiversity, composting methods, and more
🌱 Connect with experts from the Bluestem Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist, Grayson County Texas Master Gardeners, and other partners
🌱 Enter our raffle for a free tree at the Parks & Rec booth!
Why November? 🌤️ While most of the country celebrates Arbor Day in April, Texas trees thrive when planted in fall—the cooler weather helps them establish strong roots before summer heat.
✨ All ages welcome! Come celebrate the future of our environment, our parks, and our community.
