About the event

A Year in the Life of an Archaeologist
Nance Grace, former National Trust archaeologist, shares insights into the varied world of archaeology – far beyond just digging holes! She will explain the different types of work undertaken by archaeologists and share stories about some of the excavations she's been involved with over the years.

About the speaker: Nance began her career as a finds supervisor on a dig at Maiden Castle and went on to work on sites across south-west England and in Wales. Other Dorset links include Shaftesbury Abbey, Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy.

Doors open from 1.30pm. Tickets: £5 on the door, to include tea and cake. Free entry for members of Sherborne Museum.
