We are excited to kick off 2026 with Cosi by Louis Nowra, presented as part of the Shepparton Arts Festival in March 2026 at the Bakehouse Black Box Theatre.
Set inside a Melbourne mental institution in the 1970s, Cosi is a funny, heartfelt and deeply human story following a young director attempting the impossible: staging Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte with a group of patients. Against the backdrop of the Vietnam War, the play explores belonging, sanity, love and the beautifully messy frailties that connect us all.
Chaotic, moving and laugh-out-loud funny, Cosi is ultimately a love letter to the power of theatre, creativity and connection — and why telling stories together matters.
✨ Co-Directed by Troy McKindley & Laura Stevens
✨ Featuring Shannon Orlandi, Connor McDonald, David Kerr, Greg Wighton, Wendy Platt, Sam Gierveld, Kirsty Jones, Anthony Brophy, Jereb King, Shakara Howard-Knights & Sam Spinks
