Crooked Creek Ultra is back for 2025… and it’s going to be a monster.
Spend a weekend on a private trail inside beautiful Camp Crooked Creek at the Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation in the heart of Bourbon Country. You’ll take on a rugged 12.7-mile loop with over 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap, winding through 1,000 acres of hardwood forest, rolling hills, wildlife, and views you won’t forget.
2025 Crooked Creek Trail Weekend
Saturday, December 6th & Sunday, December 7th – Shepherdsville, Kentucky
Just 15 minutes from Louisville International Airport and right off I-65.
Choose your challenge:
• 100 Miler – 36-hour cutoff
• 50 Miler
• Marathon
• Half Marathon
• 5K Trail Challenge – a great “taste” of the Crooked Creek experience
The race starts and finishes by the 70-acre John Barr Lake, home to our runner’s village and finish line celebration. The course is normally closed to the public and opens only for this event, making it a truly rare trail experience.
Runners in the 100- and 50-mile events get a special “Pit Road” setup, with a chance to see their crew at the start/finish and again around the three-mile mark of each loop. There’s plenty of room for support tents, plus access to heated shower houses after you tackle the “Crooked Creek Crusher” course.
Stay options include hotels within 10 minutes, unheated cabins on site, or primitive camping at camp with access to heated bathrooms and showers—perfect for a full trail weekend.
