Empire Strikes Brass Empire Strikes Brass is a dynamic BrassFunkRock band from Asheville, NC, known for their powerful sound and creative fusion of musical influences. Founded in 2012, the band has evolved from a party band playing New Orleans-inspired funk tunes to a collective of talented musicians, singers, songwriters, and producers. Their debut album, "Theme For A Celebration," released in 2017, was recorded at Asheville's Echo Mountain Recording Studio and was recognized as one of the year's top 100 releases by WNCW 88.7 radio. The band's latest album, "Brassterpiece Theatre," released in 2019, showcases their growth and depth in composition and performance. Empire Strikes Brass has been a constant fixture at various festivals across the USA and has co-billed with major names in funk and soul, including Mavis Staples and Dr. John. They are also set to perform at the US Cellular Center in Asheville with Umphrey’s McGee and Billy Strings.
