An educational walking tour through the forest to learn about wild edible and medicinal plants, lichen and fungi of the Pacific Northwest! Join us for our fun and educational FOREST EDIBLES TOUR to learn about wild edible & medicinal plants, lichen and fungi of the Pacific Northwest! Your knowledgeable guide, Herpetologist and Professional Forager, Jerry Novak, will take you on a 2.5 hour walk through meadow, wetland, forest, and riparian habitats in search of the season's bountiful wild edible and medicinal plants, mushrooms and lichen found on the Kitsap/ North Mason Peninsula. Your guide will teach you identification, uses, benefits, and preparation tips on the wonderful gifts nature provides that we often walk past every day. A delicious tea will be prepared for you along the route with what we find along the way!
