City Library, Thursday 27 November, 6pm.
In celebration of the first year of Cook Book Club and Small Business Month, Shellharbour City Library is excited to host Lucy and Richard King, the owners of Slow Dough Kiama, to share their journey in an evening of storytelling and tasting!
Each weekend in the early hours of the morning, Kiama’s newest seaside bakery opens its doors to locals and visitors eager to indulge in freshly baked bread and sweet treats.
From a garage in Werri Beach and a self-taught baker known locally as “the bread guy,” to finding and transforming the former minister's cottage on the corner of Manning and Bong Bong St. into a thriving bakery, the story of Slow Dough isn't one to be missed.
Join us to hear the story behind this busy bakery, and indulge in some samples of the beautiful bread Lucy and Richard prepare each week. Your ticket also includes light refreshments!
Tickets to this event include a glass of non-alcoholic wine, some light snacks and beautiful bread samples baked by our guest speakers.
