ADRC Presents Dementia Friendly Community

The ADRC is committed to sharing the knowledge that is needed to support our community members living with dementia. It is important to increase awareness and understanding of dementia, brain health, and risk reduction. The goal is for a community who extends empathy and compassion to all.

Approximately 70% of all people living with Dementia reside outside of care facilities. They continue to be active and important members of our communities. Dementia Friendly Training is for anyone who wishes to learn more about what Dementia is, who it affects, and how they can support their friends and family in continuing to live where they are most comfortable. A Dementia Friendly Community has knowledge and a willingness to support people living with cognitive changes and their caregivers. It is a community who extends empathy and compassion to all.
