Time changed to ONE in the afternoon, as the library will be closing early for the parade at 4, and we certainly don't want to delay them. Have you picked a shirt? I got three at the local Goodwill, one that I'll probably wear without changes, ha.

Let's start with some basics and "upcycle" a shirt to make things simple. 

Find yourself a button-down NOT STRETCHY shirt that is *larger* than what you'd usually wear. Look at Goodwill or somewhere similar. [From someone's closet? no judgement from me!] We will use scissors and seam rippers to break them apart, then make them into something new. The images in the header are when I used a Vogue 8772 pattern to remake a shirt. There are copies on eBay if you want to try this one for as low as $10. We could also talk about how to modify a cut pattern to your sizes if, like me, you fit multiple sizes. We'll also talk about hand-sewing.
