- **Event Description**: Join us for the 3rd Annual Kentucky Stone Skipping Invitational! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just love the simple joy of skipping stones, this event is for all ages (and skill levels) and promises to be a day of excitement, competition, and family fun.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Lake Shelby, we'll be putting our skipping skills to the test. Each contestant gets to skip six stones, with the highest single skip count taking the win. In case of a tie, the cumulative skip count will be the tie-breaker. Remember to bring your own naturally formed stones which will be subject to inspection to keep things fair and fun!

We've got divisions for everyone:

Ages 10 and Under - ($5 Entry fee)
Ages 11 to 16 - ($5 Entry fee)
Women's Open - ($5 Entry fee)
Men's Open - ($5 Entry fee)
Winners of the Women's and Men's Open divisions will earn their spot to compete in the Pro Division!
Pro Division - (Invitation only $10 Entry fee)

This year the winner of the Pro division will qualify for entry into the pro division at the Mackinac Island International Stone Skipping Tournament as well as entry to the World Stone Skimming Championship. 

But it's not just about the skips; it's about making a difference. Your registration fee helps us raise awareness and vital funds for the Kentucky Waterways Alliance, supporting their incredible work to protect and restore our beautiful waterways.

So, gather your best skipping stones and get ready for a fantastic day by the lake!
