Sheffield Hallam University VS University of Sheffield. Sheffield's two universities will be going head-to-head in over 80 events in a bid to take home the Varsity 2026 trophy. The annual sporting competition between Sheffield Hallam University and University of Sheffield has taken place every year since 1997 (minus one year for Covid) and is considered one of the largest varsity tournaments in the UK, featuring 15,000 spectators and 65 teams. Tickets for the event can be purchased from both Universities via their Sports Societies from the 19th January, tickets then go on general sale from 26th January - again tickets only available direct from the University. University of Sheffield will be located in blocks 101-109 & 201-210 Sheffield Hallam will be located in blocks 116-120 / 216-220
