It's radio, but not as you know it - communicating with heat.

The talk will be split into 2 halves, each about 30 mins, with a comfort break in the middle.
The first part is an introduction to the electromagnetic spectrum and the part of it which is being used, together with system building blocks for transmit and receive. The second part deals with antennas and how to assess their performance.
