Little Walsingham is a quiet Norfolk village which has been a place of pilgrimage since 1061 when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the Lady Richeldis and asked her to build a replica of the Holy House of Nazareth where Jesus grew up. Every year St Matthew's organises a pilgrimage to Walsingham staying at the Shrine, with this year's pilgrimage taking place on May 8th to May 10th 2026. St Matthew's would like to invite you to join us.
Going on pilgrimage is a sacred act which confers grace upon the individual or family making the journey. It is a wonderful way to deepen your faith and it reminds us that we are all on a journey towards God's heavenly kingdom.
Walsingham, set in its beautiful surroundings, provides an opportunity for us to pray either individually or together. There will also be times to socialise and get to know one another better and have fun.
Accommodation with meals and transport will be provided. Also included in this pilgrimage is a visit to the picturesque North Norfolk Coast.
