We will see the best views in the city and hear about the changing uses of the site, which has seen woodland industries, farming, quarrying, mining, brick making, landfill and electricity generation. A village has been built and demolished, dissenting ministers have lived here, artists have painted the views and poets have proclaimed their beauty. We'll hear about fatal prize fights and second world war heroism, visit gun emplacements and a heliport, and look down over a ski village and one of only two cemeteries in England with a railway running through it.
