Oracy Voice 21: Continuation of 2018/19 Programme

Oracy is to speech what literacy is to writing and numeracy is to maths. Its analogy to literacy and numeracy emphasises its equal educational significance. Much like good literacy and numeracy, good oracy is achieved through teaching and cultivating a set of core skills. This programme is designed to impact upon high quality ‘talk’ and therefore outcomes in all areas of the Curriculum.

The programme covers:

> What is oracy? > What are the hallmarks of an oracy rich lesson? > Oracy in practice – shared language and expectations in the classroom > Facilitating an oracy rich curriculum / A whole School Culture> Assessment and Feedback
