Lantern-Making Workshops in Wisewood

In late November we’re going to be hosting a free community lantern parade in Wisewood, for people who live, work or spend time in the neighbourhood.

In the lead-up, artists Patrick Amber and Jo Veal will be hosting a series of free community workshops, open to anyone in Wisewood who would like to have a go at making a lantern. These workshops will focus on creating large lanterns in small groups, and you will ideally need to attend all three workshops, or if that’s not possible then a minimum of two. Workshops will all take place at Wisewood Methodist Church in the main hall, and take place on:
Saturday 1 November 2pm – 5pm
Saturday 8 November 1pm – 4pm
Saturday 15 November 1pm – 4pm

Lots of local groups will also be running their own workshops between now and the parade, and we’ll be hosting sessions with the school and care home too!
