Jesmonite Plant Pots - 1.30 - 3.30pm

Create your own miniature plant pot, or coaster with artist and maker Kim Searle using Jesmonite, a versatile material that creates a different pot or coaster every time.  
 
Your creations can be made with pale pastels or vibrant shades, block colours or fantastic marbled effects. You’ll get to try a type of Jesmonite that sets in a variety of styles and will be ready to take away with you by the end of the session  

In these sessions, you'll learn how to weigh it, mix it, add colours and textural effects, as well as try a variety of geometric and recycled moulds to create a pot unique to you. 

All materials are provided. No experience necessary.

Kim Searle runs Darn It! Workshops across the country, delivering creative sessions in venues including festivals, galleries and community spaces. With a focus on sustainability and wellbeing, Kim is passionate about facilitating workshops that build communities and encouraging accessibility. Kim also co runs Thread Republic, a Textile Reuse Hub in Huddersfield.
