The two-year-old progress check is a statutory requirement for anyone providing early years care and education places for children between the ages of two and three years of age. Practitioners are encouraged to complete the progress checks once a child has settled into provision, e.g. during the first term of accessing two-year-old FEL funding.
Sessions for moderating the assessments made of two-year-olds’ learning and development will take place on a termly basis. Practitioners are therefore encouraged to book onto one session per term. (The morning and afternoon sessions are repeats). Sessions will also include signposting to up to date information and training to support practice and provision for this age-group of children.
Please bring to each session:
A copy of Development Matters / Early Years Outcomes
Records for three children (this could be lower, middle and higher ability or younger / older two-year-olds)
If you have electronic record keeping systems please bring your device with you - there will be internet access at the venue.
