Previously a teacher and HOD of art, design and textiles in a secondary school, she has been a full time practising artist for over 11 years and has taught printmaking to a wide array of adults and children in a variety of settings. She has a BA Hons in Fine Art Sculpture, a PGCE (secondary) in Art & Design, and an MA in Arts Education. Sam produces vibrant and bold one-off relief prints onto paper, textiles and wood, and also explores other techniques to creates collages, printed textiles and ceramics. The element of chance and surprise are an important part of Sam’s printmaking process.
