# Event Details - **Event Name**: Sticky Tape Collagraph - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 01 Nov, 2025 at 10:30 am – Sat, 01 Nov, 2025 at 02:30 pm - **Event Description**: This course is a great introduction to printmaking with a press if you've never tried it before.About this EventJoin experienced printmaker Sarah Godfrey for this exciting workshop exploring the collagraph printmaking technique.In this workshop we will be creating a printing plate by layering different types of sticky tape to the surface of mountcard. We will be using all types of tape, including sellotape, masking tape, parcel tape, framing tape, duck tape etc, these will be layered, scratched into, wripped, scrunched to build up a design.This will be inked using both relief (surface) rolling and intaglio techniques. This is an exciting quick method of creating prints with contrasting textures. Teas, coffee, water and biscuits are provided.About Carousel Print StudioCarousel Print Studio is a not for profit charity based on the ground floor of Exchange Place Studios in Castlegate, Sheffield. Carousel provides educational workshops in printmaking and opportunities for creatives in Sheffield, in a bright, warm, accessible and well equipped printmaking studio. Carousel is located on the ground floor just to the left of reception. The doors are widened for ease of access and there is an accessible toilet. Sarah has a strong and contagious passion for printmaking, having worked at many printmaking workshops, colleges, schools and organisations.
