Participants will learn the fundamentals of alternative lithography as they draw directly onto aluminum foil, etch their image with cola, and print their creations by hand. The process allows for a beautiful, expressive capture of direct marks from the artist.Throughout the session, participants can expect to produce up to five 20 x 25cm prints in a single color. Syposz is especially drawn to lithography for its ability to reproduce direct marks and achieve an extraordinary range of textures, tones, and effects. Her prints, often inspired by life drawing sketches, form a series of surreal portraits that reflect on perceptions of existence and self.
