The Hannibal Project: a Seven Ages Joint

Join Seven Ages Theatricals, in association with WordHaven Bookhouse, for a pair of unique presentations exploring different mediums and how artists adapt literature to different settings. Guided by 7AT’s Kit Evans, this fundraising performance will explore two significant scenes from Thomas Harris’ Red Dragon; Evans takes us on a journey to explore the dark world of Hannibal Lecter in the television adaptation starring Mads Mikkelsen and the film starring Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins, followed by their original adaptations of the same scenes from the book where it all began, written and produced specifically for the stage.

Explore how and why text is interpreted in different ways and participate in a vigorous group discussion following the viewing of each screen adaptation of the scenes, followed by Evans’ original stage version. Light refreshments will be available (including chili made with fava beans, of course).

Come explore the dark and tumultuous world of Hannibal Lecter, enjoy a fascinating conversation, and help raise funds for Seven Ages’ ongoing fifth anniversary season. Come hungry…
