Member Exclusive: Bringing Bub to Life: A Hands-On Workshop with Artist Sarah Rowe

Join artist Sarah Rowe for a hands-on workshop where imagination takes center stage. Together, we’ll help bring Bub, a mythical creature with shimmering scales and playful fins, to life—and he needs your help to complete his story.

In this members-only experience, you’ll work side-by-side with the artist as you explore her vibrant, collaborative, creative process. Using acrylic paint, cardboard, glue, and more, you’ll help craft Bub’s form, contributing to a shared world of wonder.

You’ll be invited to bring up to three small items from home that should reflect the theme This is Where I’m Coming From. They should be no bigger than a fist and lightweight , such as a photo, fabric scrap, or a natural object from your yard. These will become permanent contributions. Some or all may be incorporated directly into Bub, who will be on display in the Social STUDIO—a lasting tribute to your creativity and story.

After the workshop, join us for the public opening of Rowe’s exhibition, Water Ledger, and hear the artist reflect on her collaborations across Sheboygan and Omaha.

Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available.
