With ScrapyHourArt
Join local artist, Jesse Brunette of ScrappyHourArt, for this "Love You To Pieces" collage portrait workshop, just in time for Valentine's Day!
Attendees will be taken through the complete collage portrait process—vision, sketch, choosing scraps, paper tearing techniques, and finally, putting it all together. You will create a collage portrait of someone (or thing!) you love to pieces—a perfect custom gift for a valentine, galentine, or anyone!
Jesse started creating fictional collage portraits and bios as a fun creative outlet while watching Jeopardy. Her hobby quickly turned into a "Scrappy" accident as she expanded her pieces to include landscapes, pet portraits, holiday-themed collages, and commissioned pieces, all part of her Scrappy Hour brand. Her triptych piece "Lake Cruise" was recently on display at John Michael Kohler Art Center.
What to Expect:
-Guidance through the collage portrait process (vision, sketch, assembly)
-Tips for choosing paper scraps for the best effect
-Demonstration of paper tearing techniques to create texture
-Creating a custom collage portrait of a loved one (or pet/thing!)
