This three-part, in-person workshop series explores the plants shaping our local landscapes—for better and for worse. Led by organic land care expert Michael Nadeau, the series is designed for homeowners and landowners and professional landscapers who want practical, science-based guidance on managing invasive plants and supporting native species. Participants may attend one, two, or all three workshops. Each session stands on its own, while together they offer a deeper understanding of how everyday land care choices can improve habitat, biodiversity, and long-term landscape health.

This workshop takes a deeper dive into invasive plants and how to manage them effectively and responsibly. Co-presented by Michael Nadeau and regional conservationist and tree preservationist Tom Zetterstrom, the session will cover best management practices both with and without herbicides. Drawing on real-world conservation and land management experience, the presenters will discuss when different approaches are appropriate, their benefits and limitations, and how homeowners can make informed decisions when tackling invasive species on their own properties.
