Spaces: Each participating individual or group will be allocated a parking spot to serve as their designated space for creating art. These spots are approximately 20 feet long by 9 feet wide. We can accommodate requests for participants to start the previous day if additional time is needed, subject to approval on a case-by-case basis.
Chalk: A variety of colors will be provided in sidewalk chalk and pastel chalk, and participants are also welcome to bring their own supplies. Water will be available to support your creative process.
Groups: Groups of people can work together on their creations.
One person can sign up on behalf of a group of people; put in names of additional people when signing up.
Age Requirement: All ages are welcome to join. Participants under 12 must have at least one adult accompanying them during the event.
Prizes: Winners will be selected by a panel of jurors from the Sharon Cultural Council. Thanks to the generous support of our many sponsors this year, prize amounts will be significantly increased and awarded in the form of debit gift cards and/or gift cards to local businesses. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or trying chalk art for the first time, there’s a chance to be recognized and celebrated.
Parking: Parking is available along Bradford Avenue and in other nearby public areas. We kindly ask participants to park a bit farther from the event space to help leave closer spots for spectators. You're welcome to pull up near Town Hall to drop off any supplies before finding parking.
Weather Contingency: Event is subject to cancellation due to rain or inclement weather. Please check our website or social media channels for updates.
Public Viewing: All members of the public are welcome to come and watch the artists at work, enjoy live music and food from the food trucks, and have a picnic on the town hall lawn.
