Audubon's Bird-Friendly Maple program partners with maple producers who are managing their sugarbush to improve habitat for birds and other wildlife. In this program, participants will learn about forest bird population trends, what high-quality forest bird habitat looks like, and how to get involved as a maple producer or consumer. We will also visit the Sharon Audubon Center sugarbush and talk about the habitat conditions there.

Rosa Goldman is the Forest Program Senior Associate with Audubon Connecticut &amp; New York. She works private landowners to improve their habitat for birds, as well as with maple sugaring producers to certify their sugarbushes through Audubon's Bird-Friendly Maple program.  

Dr. Eileen Fielding is the Sharon Audubon Center's Director who supports the center's operations and works closely with Audubon Connecticut/New York's Forest staff. She possesses extensive knowledge in forest management for birds and wildlife and leads Sharon Audubon Center's forest management efforts.
