Ready to try something new, joyful, and empowering?

Join us for an 8-week Beginner Belly Dance Series focused on shimmies & undulations - a fun, supportive space to move your body, build strength and confidence, and discover the art of American Cabaret style belly dancing. 

PLUS - learn to use a veil to enhance your dancing and invite more flow in. 

What to Expect:
This class is all about exploring movement in an encouraging environment. Expect clear instruction, gentle repetition, and a focus on posture, musicality, and core strength.

What is a shimmy & undulation?
Shimmies are when we shake our hips or shoulders fast. In somatics, shaking is extremely powerful for releasing stress and most of us walk away from shimmies feeling FANTASTIC. 

Undulations are body waves, or rolling from your chest to your hips like a wave - sensual and core strength building. 

This isn’t about performance or perfection; it’s about connecting with your body, moving for joy, and discovering your unique dance style.

No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a desire to move!

When: Mondays, 5:30-7pm*
May 4 - June 22 2026

Where: Artisan Alley Fine Arts Gallery
702 N Shamokin St, Shamokin, PA

Cost: $80 for the full 8-week series, or $15 drop-in fee per class 

*5:30-6:15 will be beginner drills. 6:15-7pm will be choreography with veils
