🌿 Event Description
This is not a traditional hike — it is a guided, off-trail forest exploration led by Army Veteran Rockin Randy, who has a deep passion for exploring the outdoors and fully immersing himself in nature’s beauty.
Randy’s approach is intentional and grounded: slowing down, staying present, and truly experiencing the land.
Participants will navigate off established trails using topographic maps to reach various points of interest. Off-trail hiking requires a higher level of awareness and adaptability than standard trail hiking and should be approached with respect and preparedness.
Expect uneven terrain, underbrush, downed trees, ravines, and small water crossings. Along the way, Randy will share insights about the geography and natural features of the forest while guiding the group through a physically and mentally engaging experience.
Important Note: Off-trail hiking is a whole different neck of the woods compared to maintained trails. This experience is best suited for participants in fairly good physical condition who are comfortable navigating unmarked terrain.
🥾 What to Bring
Hiking boots or sturdy trail footwear
Backpack with water
Snacks or light food
Clothing suitable for rugged, off-trail conditions
👥 Group Size & Eligibility
This event is open to veterans and supporters.
To maintain safety and quality of the experience, participation will be limited to approximately 8 total participants (veterans and supporters combined).
