He worked for newspapers in Crystal Lake and Decatur before spending 25 years with the Daily Southtown. In 2016, he became a full-time freelancer and since 2018, he’s written the Naperville Sun’s weekly “Down to Business” column, profiling more than 345 local businesses.On this night, Steve shares his journey from newsroom deadlines to unforgettable encounters.
