Join University of Hawaii research scientists Petra Lenz and Lauren Block along with local artist Kim McNett to learn about the plankton of Resurrection Bay! We will gain insight and inspiration from these microscopic wonders of the sea to create artistic mandalas in mixed media. This beginner-friendly art project emphasizes flow-state and creative mindfulness to honor the source of life in Resurrection Bay.

Events are free and open to teens and adults. Join one or both sessions. All awesome supplies provided!

Tuesday November 18th, 5:00-8:30
Theme: Meroplankton (animals that spend part of their life in the plankton including starfish, barnacles, crabs, and fish)

Wednesday November 19th, 5:00-8:30
Theme: Holoplankton (animals that spend their whole life in the plankton including copepods, jellies, and amphipods)
