Behind the Scenes:

Based on Homer’s The Odyssey (8th century B.C.) Soul of ODYSSEY was originally created as part of the “Firebird Project Chapter 2” in Malaysia in 2023. The production delves into universal themes like war peace life and death exploring the existence of God through the lens of sacred and profane.

From the Malaysia Performance (October 2023):

“It was light dynamic and spectacular… the performers’ bodies were so expressive that no words were needed drawing us into a spiritual world.”

  • Jo Kukathas (Critic Director Actor)
  • “Like thick ropes forming the ship that carried the ‘Soul of the Odyssey’ the performers were tied together continuing their artistic voyage.”
  • 西北孤鸟 Xibei Guniao (Critic Sin Chew Daily Malaysia’s largest daily newspaper)
