코리아 블루스 캠프는 지난 10년간 아시아 블루스 씬의 중심축으로 자리매김하며 의미 있는 변화를 이끌어왔습니다. 미국과 유럽의 세계적인 블루스 강사들을 한국으로 초청해 한국을 시작점으로 아시아 전역에 블루스 댄스와 문화를 전파하는 플랫폼 역할을 해왔습니다.
그 결과, 코리아 블루스 캠프를 통해 성장한 많은 댄서들이 국제 무대에서 활약하는 강사로 거듭났고, 한국뿐 아니라 일본, 대만, 싱가포르 등 아시아 각국에서 참가한 댄서들이 자국으로 돌아가 강습과 이벤트를 운영하는 오거나이저로 활동하며 블루스 문화의 지속적인 확산에 기여하고 있습니다.
2014년부터 2025년까지 축적된 경험과 노하우를 바탕으로, 2026년 코리아 블루스 캠프는 전례 없는 형태로 진화합니다.
기존의 3박4일 주말 워크샵 형식을 넘어, 9일간 진행되는 블루스 티처스 인스티튜션(Blues Teachers Institution)을 새롭게 선보입니다. 이는 블루스의 문화적 뿌리부터 음악의 이해, 춤 테크닉, 강의법에 이르기까지 블루스의 모든 측면을 심도 있게 다루는 종합 교육 프로그램입니다.
단순히 춤을 배우는 것을 넘어, 블루스를 가르치고 전파할 수 있는 차세대 교육자와 커뮤니티 리더를 양성하는 것이 목표입니다. 아시아 블루스 씬의 다음 10년을 이끌어갈 새로운 기준을 제시하고자 합니다.
Over the past 10 years, Korea Blues Camp has established itself as a central pillar of the Asian blues scene, driving meaningful change. By inviting world-renowned blues instructors from the United States and Europe to Korea, we have served as a platform for spreading blues dance and culture throughout Asia, with Korea as the starting point.
As a result, many dancers who grew through Korea Blues Camp have evolved into instructors performing on the international stage. Participants from not only Korea but also China,Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and other Asian countries have returned to their home countries to teach classes and operate events as organizers, contributing to the continuous expansion of blues culture.
Building on the experience and expertise accumulated from 2014 to 2025, Korea Blues Camp 2026 will evolve into an unprecedented form.
Moving beyond the traditional 3-night, 4-day weekend workshop format, we will introduce a 9-day Blues Teachers Institution.
This is a comprehensive educational program that delves deeply into all aspects of blues, from its cultural roots to understanding the music, dance techniques, and teaching methods.
The goal extends beyond simply learning to dance—it is to cultivate next-generation educators and community leaders who can teach and spread blues. We aim to present a new standard that will lead the Asian blues scene for the next 10 years.
