Elizabeth has readily accepted the invitation, on the condition that the community be invited in as well to join the women and take tea with them. Of course, Catharine has agreed to that condition, as she enjoys hosting young schoolchildren in her home to take tea with her during their school day in the springtime. During their gathering, Catharine and Elizabeth will talk about the women's rights movement that was sparked when the first women's rights convention took place in Seneca Falls nearly 50 years ago. Elizabeth is bringing along a surprise guest - someone who helped her plan and host that first convention.

You are invited to take tea with Catharine Becker and Elizabeth Cady Stanton on Sunday, July 19 at 2 p.m. during Convention Days weekend in Seneca Falls. The event will take place in the dining room of the Becker Mansion, located at 55 Cayuga St. in Seneca Falls. Admission costs $25 per person, and admission is limited to 30 people.
