- **Event Description**: The next Clean Sweep will be the biggest one of the year!  It's a pizza and ice cream party, and we're looking to totally finish cleaning up the trash in the woods in the Selma area!

Meet at:
Deer Creek Grange
3750 Lakeshore Drive, Selma
Cleanup from 8-noon (new earlier time, to beat the heat!)
Bring gloves, water bottles, and sturdy shoes

We'll have coffee, donuts, and snacks in the morning.  Pizza and ice cream to follow at noon!  Sugar Pine Dine will be grilling artisan pizza for us.  We'll also have some categories for best trash finds, with prizes.  And it will probably be hot so we'll have ice cream, too!

Please bring a pickup truck to haul trash in, if you can!  And if the high gas prices are making you hesitate, we'll have gas gift cards from the Chevron for the pickup drivers!

Come out and spend some time in the woods with friends and neighbors, possibly checking out beautiful areas you've never seen before, while re-naturalizing our wild spaces.  The cleanup events are a wonderful way to spend time in nature and in community!  

This is a Rural ReciProsperity event, through a partnership between The Motherline, the Cave Junction Farmers' Market, and the Illinois Valley Community Development Organization.  Much of our funding comes from the Josephine County Solid Waste Agency, and from the BLM's Title II grant program.  Not to mention the invaluable contributions from local businesses, including Deer Creek Vineyards, Coffee Heaven, Trillium Bakery, Bigfoot Printshop, the Oregon Caves Chevron, and more.  

These events are powered by the people!  None of the cleanup would be possible if it weren't for the hardy volunteers who keep turning out to get it ALL picked up!
