- **Event Description**: The event has become a fantastic annual occasion, bringing together former pupils, staff, families and friends of the school. Over the past four years, significant work has been carried out on the front field, which is looking superb and we are hopeful the wicket will be in excellent condition for the match.

Ahead of the main fixture, Mr Hill will once again be organising some ‘Kwik Cricket’ games from 4.15pm for pupils and parents as a warm-up to the evening’s action. There will also be a BBQ and bar available throughout the evening to ensure everyone is well fed and watered.

As always, we are proud that the fixture continues in memory of Mr Peter Watt -  Old Draxonian and former Chair of Governors -  whose enthusiasm played such an important role in reviving the event in 2019. The Peter Watt Trophy is currently held by the 2025 winners, the Read Select XI, who will no doubt be aiming to defend their title once again this year.

Sadly, as many of you will know, Brian Watt also passed away last year too. This occasion therefore continues to provide a wonderful opportunity to recognise the enormous contribution both Peter and Brian made to Read, whilst enjoying an annual cricket match that was always one of Brian’s favourite dates in the calendar.
