The Seguin Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas invites the public to celebrate and toast 190 years since the declaration of independence of the free and independent Republic of Texas on March 2, 1836.

German Edelweiss Kinderchor and Kinder Tänzen with local mariachi and folklorico dancers during activities.
Organizations involved
“There’s a story here” activities - The Seguin-Guadalupe Heritage Museum, The Seguin Conservation Society, Magnolia Hotel, Guadalupe County 4-H Shooting Sports Club, Guadalupe County Texas Master Naturalist, Wilson Pottery Foundation, Sebastopol House Historic Site, Seguin Art League and demonstrations of blacksmithing techniques from the 1800’s.
The ceremony includes local dignitaries, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Posse, Clint Taft and High School drumline along with a solo trumpet from Navarro High School.
